Cabo San Lucas is a little gem of a city that sits on the very tip of the Baja Peninsula, and is where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. A great way to see the region is to rent a car, so that you can do daily excursions from your hotel. If you are in Cabo San Lucas for surf you will quickly realize that the region is quite spread out, and depending on what season you are there will determine if you will be driving up the East Cape or West Coast. Spring in the Northern Hemisphere is a great time to visit Cabo San Lucas because there is generally swell from both direction. Spring also means Spring Break, which means there will be a lot going on in town.

STAY: Check ahead of time for cheap timeshares that people are not using. More times than not you can rent a place for an entire week for under $500USD.

DRINK: In the heart of Cabo San Lucas is a great little bar called the Giggling Marlin. The bartenders will hang you upside down and give you a few tequila shots if you dare and try it.
