We had one week left in Thailand, and decided we wanted to experience something truly different, so we headed to Angkor Wat, Cambodia. Angkor Wat is always swarming with tourists, so if you have a chance to meet some locals, and they offer to take you around to their favorite spots you should take them up on the offer. We had a private tuk-tuk for the entire day for only 6USD.

DO: After you see the temple go and have a ‘happy’ pizza at HAPPY PIZZA. Be warned it takes about an hour for the happiness of pizza to set in, so do not order more pizza in the meantime. If you are feeling the effects of the pizza a little too much then head over to a local bar for happy-hour and relax with some cold Angkor beers.

TIPS: The local buses and shuttles are really cheap, and allow you to see the country better, but if you are crunched for time then you can fly into Siem Reap International Airport, which is just ten minutes away.
