Okay, I am not going to lie, but I f@#ked up on a connection between Bali and Buenos Aires. My flight ticket from Malaysia to Argentina said ’01:15′, so me being a dumb American assumed it was 1:15 ‘p.m.’ So when I arrived in Kuala Lumpur at 10 p.m. I decide to sleep outside the airport and kill time for 15 hours (which I though I had). So, the next day when I went to go check-in for my flight I discovered it had departed just hours before, and that I had to wait four days for the next one.

DON’T: Sleep outside the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. I discovered it rains quite a lot there and that there is a strange funky smell that lingers about.

DO: Use Air Asia for connecting flights in the Asian region because they are very cheap and allow surfboards on the flight for a very small luggage fee.

STAY: Suzie’s Guesthouse is right in the middle of Chinatown; private rooms go for just 10USD a night.
