The food in China is amazing. You never REALLY know what you are going to get, but it was almost always good. When you think you order chicken or lamb there is a good chance it could be rat or dog, but you never really know because of the language barrier. I spoke zero Chinese and the waiter typically spoke zero English. I tried a lot of really interesting food items, and never got sick.

TIP: Try and stick to restaurants that are busy with locals. Then when it comes to ordering simply look around the restaurant and point at what other people are eating if it looks good.

TRY: In Shuhe the breakfast consists of peanut-milk, steamed pork buns, some type of fried doughnut, and hard bolied eggs. Try it, and enjoy it!
