A few weeks between Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks gave me a greater appreciation for U.S. National Park system, and allowed me to see the deep connection us North Americans have with our open-spaces. Although these National Parks are great to visit year around, I still prefer the summer months because you can really get out and explore all the miles of open trail.

TIP: It gets crowded in Yellowstone in the summer, so plan ahead. Permits are needed to camp almost everywhere, so book far in advance to secure a place for you and your friends. Grand Teton Nation Park is just south of Yellowstone, and often has far fewer people during the peak summer months, so if you want to escape the crowds head south!
